Privacy Policy

gamingpython ("we", "us", "our") is a desktop AI coaching companion app for competitive esports players, distributed via the OverWolf platform. This policy explains exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what we never do.

What we collect

When you install gamingpython and play a supported game, the app receives match data from OverWolf's Game Events Provider (GEP) running locally on your PC. We collect only the following, only about you:

• Your account identifier (Twitch username or Steam ID, depending on which you signed in with)
• Match metadata: game (e.g. Valorant), pseudo match ID, match start and end timestamps, map name, game mode
• Your personal in-match stats: kills, deaths, assists, headshots, placement, win/loss, hero/agent/champion played (varies by game)
• Optional diagnostic metadata: app version, OverWolf version

What we never collect

• Anything about other players in your match (no teammate names, no opponent identities, no third-party ranks)
• In-match positional, aiming, or network data
• Anything from other players' POVs or replays
• Information that could be used for spectator advantage or anti-cheat circumvention
• Chat content, voice content, or anything outside the match-summary surface
• Your password (we use OAuth from Twitch or Steam — we never see your credentials)

How we use it

Your match data is used solely to generate a personalized AI coaching insight after each match. The insight is a short 2–3 sentence natural-language analysis comparing your recent session to your own historical baseline. Insights are shown only to you, in the gamingpython desktop window. We retain a history of your past insights so you can review your progress over time.

Third-party processors

• Anthropic (Claude API) — generates the coaching insight text. Your match data is sent over HTTPS to Anthropic for inference and discarded after the response is returned. We do not train models on your data, and Anthropic's API privacy policy confirms they do not either.
• Supabase — backend infrastructure (database + API). Your match data and insights are stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the US, encrypted at rest, with row-level security ensuring only your authenticated account can access your records.
• OverWolf — provides the GEP integration that captures match data on your local machine. OverWolf does not see your backend-stored data.
• Twitch / Steam — OAuth identity providers. We receive only your account identifier; we never see your password.
• Vercel — hosts this website and OAuth redirect pages. No analytics cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party scripts.

Where your data lives

Match data and generated insights are stored in our Supabase Postgres instance (US region). All data in transit uses HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest is encrypted by the database provider's standard encryption.

Data retention

We retain your match history and generated insights for as long as your account is active so you can review your progress over time. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing gamingpythonsupport@gmail.com. We will delete all records associated with your account within 30 days of receiving a verified request.

Your rights

• Access: request a copy of the match data we hold about you
• Deletion: request full deletion of your account and all associated data
• Opt-out: stop uploading match data at any time via the in-app Settings panel kill switch — matches will still be tracked locally but never leave your machine
• Uninstall: removing gamingpython from OverWolf permanently stops all data collection

Compliance with game publishers

gamingpython does not use the Riot Games API, the Valve Steamworks API beyond OAuth identity, the Epic Online Services API, or any first-party game publisher API. All match data originates from OverWolf's officially-supported Game Events Provider integration for each title.

Coaching insights are post-match only and never expose information that could be used during a live match to affect competitive integrity.

Cookies and tracking

This website (gamingpython.com) uses no cookies, no localStorage, no analytics scripts, and no third-party tracking pixels. The static OAuth redirect pages at /oauth/twitch and /oauth/steam handle the OAuth token bounce-back into the app and immediately redirect — no data is recorded on the website.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where reasonable, notify active users via the gamingpython desktop window before changes take effect.
